Bring your papers and notes.
PDFs, GoodNotes, Notability, Apple Notes, Markdown and images. Pen Buddy shows you how to export from each app, then brings it in.

Week 4: The Black–Scholes model
The Black–Scholes model is a mathematical model for the dynamics of a financial market containing derivative investment instruments. From it, one can deduce the Black–Scholes formula, which gives a theoretical estimate of the price of European-style options.
The key idea is to hedge the option by buying and selling the underlying asset in just the right way, which removes risk. This hedge implies there is only one right price for the option.
Black–Scholes formula
The value of a call option for a non-dividend-paying underlying stock is:
where N is the cumulative distribution function of the standard normal distribution, S is the spot price, K the strike price, r the risk-free rate and σ the volatility of returns.
